I wanted to talk today about a great movie I saw in 2007 for the first time. APOCALYPTO It, This film is beautiful to me, however, do not epics, this time I much loved and so I can see him for the fourth time in 3 years.
Apocalypto is a movie released in North America December 8, 2006, directed by Mel Gibson.
The film is set in Mesoamerica, in the Yucatan peninsula, at the end of the Postclassic period, just before the first contact with the Spaniards. It tells the story of a man fighting for his life and liberty during the decline of Mayan civilization.
Young father carrying great expectations, the leader of his village, Jaguar Paw lives an idyllic life suddenly disrupted by a violent invasion. Captured and taken at a perilous journey through the jungle to be offered in sacrifice to the gods of the Mayan city, he discovers a world ruled by fear and oppression where a harrowing end awaits him inescapably. Driven by his love to his wife, his family and his people, he must face his greatest fears in a desperate attempt to return home and try to save what he feels most at heart .
